The Experience.
How many times are you faced with the following dilemmas
- You're working with a small specialist sample base where
you want to; evaluate a detail aid, examine advertisements,
test product messages, evaluate a brand or conduct an
image study, undergo a needs analysis. The issue, you
can only go to the major centres like London, Birmingham
or Manchester, because you simply can't get the numbers
in any one area.
- You want to research a well defined sample according
to specific screening criteria, maybe lead GPs with specific
therapeutic management strategies. You can't get enough
at a central location.
- You simply want to go to different areas to get a spread
of respondents or feel you see the same respondents in
the same areas and respondents are being over-researched.
Sounds familiar? Ideally, what you would like is breadth
with depth.
What is e-CAM 'Teleweb'?
A breadth with depth service. It allows traditional
methodologies requiring visual resources and a director/consultant
level interviewer, to be used over the web alongside an
extended telephone interview. All interviews are conducted
as they would be in the traditional manner whereby Paul
Mannu would attend and interview the majority of the sample
alongside an associate consultant researcher.
2 Typical Scenarios:
Advertisement concept testing among specialists
Respondents are recruited to expect a 35 to 45 minute telephone
interview. They are required to be next to their computer
and logged onto e-Cam TeleWeb service. Clients can listen
in via teleconference if they wish. Respondents are shown
advertisements and made to complete self completion forms
as per the face to face model.
Detail Aid Testing
GPs or specialists are taken through an audio visual tell-sell
in a consistent manner and asked to evaluate the detail
aid. Mixed methodologies might be recommended here whereby
the initial methodology is a central location of 8-12 respondents
interviewed face to face for 45 minutes followed by a regional
spread of 30 to 45 minute tele-web interviews.
